Aconitum gymnandrum has shown no toxic effects per se, but it appears the amount of research on this plant is extremely low. All we can do is look at the wider genus, and from this assume it's a highly poisonous plant. Aconitum plants tend to contain aconite and other alkaloids (particularly in their roots and tubers) which are toxic to humans. Ingestion causes the most harm, potentially resulting in vomiting and nausea, respiratory and cardiac dysregulation, sweating, dilated pupils, weakness, and in extreme circumstances, death. Aconitum gymnandrum may also cause discomfort if applied to the skin topically, potentially causing nausea, temporary paraesthesia, heart palpitations, and headaches.
