How to Propagate Agarista?
Agarista can be propagated by seed sowing, semi-hardwood cuttings, or air layering. For successful propagation, maintain a warm temperature, high humidity, and use well-draining acidic soil. Germination can be slow and uneven, and cuttings may require a rooting hormone and protection from intense light. Propagation is moderately challenging due to these requirements. To propagate via cuttings: 1) Cut a 4-6 inch semi-hardwood segment in late summer, 2) Dip in rooting hormone, 3) Plant in a mix of peat and perlite, 4) Enclose in a plastic bag for humidity, and 5) Place in indirect light until rooted.
