How to Propagate Capeweeds?
For capeweeds, seed sowing is the primary method. Optimal propagation requires full sun exposure, temperate climates, and well-draining soil. Germination is more effective with consistent moisture and a temperature range of 15-20°C. No special treatments like stratification or scarification are typically needed, making the process fairly straightforward. The difficulty level is generally easy, although in non-native regions, environmental adaptability can be a challenge. To propagate, (1) prepare a pot with soil mix, (2) scatter seeds and lightly cover with soil, (3) keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, (4) place in a sunny area, and (5) transplant seedlings once sufficiently developed.
