How to Propagate Sweetspire?
Propagate sweetspire through softwood cuttings or division in spring or early summer. The cuttings thrive in well-drained soil with some humidity and indirect light. While division is straightforward, cuttings involve slightly more complexity. Sweetspire is generally easy to propagate, with few major challenges. Follow these steps: 1) For cuttings, select healthy softwood sections, 4-6 inches long. 2) Remove lower leaves and dip the base in rooting hormone. 3) Plant in a mix of peat and perlite, ensuring high humidity. 4) For division, dig up an established plant after flowering and gently separate into smaller clumps. Overseas, replant clumps at the same depth they originally grew, and water thoroughly.
