How to Propagate Spathodea ?
Propagation of spathodea is commonly achieved through seed sowing, stem cuttings, or air layering. Optimal growth requires warm temperatures, plenty of sunlight, and well-draining soil. Fresh seeds germinate readily, but cuttings may require growth hormones and careful moisture management. A moderately difficult plant to propagate due to potential issues with fungal disease, it needs vigilant care. To propagate by seeds: collect seeds from mature pods, sow them in a seed-starting mix, keep them moist at 70-75°F, and expect sprouts in 14-21 days. For cuttings: take semi-hardwood segments, dip in rooting hormone, plant in a sterile medium, and maintain high humidity.
