The buddhist pine thrives in a native growth environment with moderate temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 ℉ (10 to 30 ℃). It prefers temperatures between 59 to 100 ℉ (15 to 38 ℃), but it can tolerate some degree of frost. During winter months, the plant requires cooler temperatures and can withstand a range of 41 to 59 ℉ (5 to 15 ℃). In the summer, it appreciates a bit of shade to escape the hotter temperatures.
Buddhist pine has some cold tolerance and generally does not require any additional measures when the temperature is above {Tolerable_growing_temperature_min}. However, if the temperature is expected to drop below {Tolerable_growing_temperature_min}, it is necessary to take some temporary measures for cold protection, such as wrapping the plant with plastic film, fabric, or other materials. Once the temperature rises again, the protective measures should be removed promptly.
