How can I water my Sweet osmanthus at different growth stages?

Sweet osmanthus
Osmanthus fragrans
Learn More
When the Sweet osmanthus is very young, such as when it is in a seedling stage, you will need to give it more water than you would if it were at a mature age. During the early stages of this plant’s life, it is important to keep the soil consistently moist to encourage root development. The same is true for any Sweet osmanthus that you have transplanted to a new growing location. Also, the Sweet osmanthus can develop showy flowers and fruits when you give them the correct care. If your Sweet osmanthus is in a flowering or fruiting phase, you will likely need to give a bit more water than you usually would to support these plant structures.
Sweet osmanthus (Osmanthus fragrans)
Sweet osmanthus
A species of Osmanthus, Also known as Fragrant olive
Botanical name: Osmanthus fragrans
Genus: Osmanthus
Description
Sweet osmanthus (Osmanthus fragrans) is a large evergreen flowering shrub. Sweet osmanthus's small white and orange flowers smell like apricots. This species is also referred to as by the Fragrant Tea Olive.
Garden Use
Grown as an evergreen shrub or a small tree, the sweet osmanthus is a slow-growing and relatively compact plant, making it perfect for balconies and patios. Many also choose to plant their sweet osmanthus near an outdoor seating area or a window, growing it as a dense shrub to make the most of its beautiful scent. However, the plant works well as a hedge too, providing a wall of fragrance during its flowering season. It grows to a variety of heights, making it extremely versatile - while some can soar up to 25 m tall, there are also dwarf varieties available that are perfect for containers., A hardy plant that is easy to look after and requires very little maintenance, the white flowers of the sweet osmanthus is complemented by glossy foliage that looks like holly (but isn't spiky), which is why the plant is often associated with the festive period.
