The Aconitum genus is a seriously toxic one, so it's safe to assume aconitum vilmorinianum also displays these poisonous characteristics. These plants tend to contain aconite and other harmful alkaloids which cause discomfort when ingested. Consumption of aconitum vilmorinianum will likely result in nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, a general weakness, muscular spasms, pupil dilation, a weakened pulse, sweating, heart and breathing problems, and convulsions. There is also some evidence to suggest that Aconitum plants cause skin irritation when applied topically, but there's no research to indicate that they cause dermatitis when direct contact is made with the plant in its natural state.
