Dichocarpum sutchuenense is a small, perennial herb. An understory plant, it grows in tropical to subtropical forests in moist conditions. It can often be found growing in rock crevices near forest streams and waterfalls.
Dichocarpum dalzielii
Dichocarpum dalzielii is a relatively rare plant, but can still be found for sale as an ornamental by some nurseries. It is a relative of the buttercup and has a similar low-slung, water-loving growth habit. Unfortunately, this pretty plant is toxic to both humans and animals, causing severe digestive problems if eaten, and skin blistering after contact with the sap.
