Chinese dipteronia
Chinese dipteronia was first documented in the West by Irish doctor, forester, and author Augustine Henry. It has been imported for cultivation to several countries including the USA, but remains relatively rare and obscure, though seeds are available online. Its genus name, Dipteronia, means "two wings," referring to the shape of its seeds, which are adapted to fall far from the parent plant.
