Description

The name hedgehog cactusses is given to the wide-ranging genus, Echinopsis (which itself means "appearing like a hedgehog"). At least 180 species fall under the Echinopsis genus, as do many artificial hybrids.

Echinopsis subdenudata is a species of cactus. It has a globular shape, few spines, with large, white flowers attached to long, green tubes. It occurs in Bolivia, at altitudes of 600–1800 metres.

Echinopsis tubiflora
Echinopsis tubiflora is a rare flowering plant species endemic to Argentina. Echinopsis tubiflora is valued ornamentally for its blossoms and sometimes planted as part of landscaping arrangements. This species is considered easy to grow by gardeners.

Pet-friendly, it can be grown in the garden or container to add beauty and interest to landscape or patio.

Argentine saguaro
Its branches are about 25 cm in diameter with 8 to 14 ribs. It has large brownish areoles about 2.5 cm apart with 8 to 15 yellowish spines, 8 to 10 cm long. The nocturnal white flowers can grow up to 20 cm long and 13 to 15 cm wide.
