Elattostachys nervosa
You will find elattostachys nervosa growing in all types of Australian rainforests. The plant is also called the beetroot tree after the bright red color of its new leaves. The nervosa part of its name refers to the veins of the leaves, which are very prominent. Elattostachys refers to small flower spikes that are present in other members of this tree's genus, but not in elattostachys nervosa.
