Freycinetia formosana is a plant indigenous to the subtropical mountainous regions of East Asia. Over time, it has also found a foothold in various parts of Southeast Asia, often thriving in humid, forested environments. While not widely spread, its cultivation outside native areas remains limited, preserving its regional specificity.
