Karoo rose
The leaves of the karoo rose are fleshy, angulate, and three-dimensional. Its leaves are semi-football in shape when young, with only one ridge, but then they gradually grow into a triangular-prism shape as they mature. When light is sufficient, the ridges can turn a pale orange. During the summer and winter seasons, the karoo rose goes into a short period of dormancy, during which watering should be avoided.
