Browne's poisonwood
Browne's poisonwood is a tropical, deciduous tree with a sturdy, thick trunk and dense, spreading canopy. The leaves are compound and feather-like, turning bright red before shedding. It produces small, greenish flowers and yellowish, rounded fruits. Its bark secretes an irritating sap. Commonly found in dry forests, browne's poisonwood is adapted to withstand heat and drought.
