Description

Species of Reevesia

Reevesia pubescens var. siamensis
A resident of the deep valley forests of Thailand, from which it derives its scientific name, reevesia pubescens var. siamensis (Reevesia pubescens var. siamensis) bursts into clusters of small white flowers with conspicuously long, yellow-tipped pistils. A beautiful but delicate flower, it struggles to thrive and bloom in climates that do not closely resemble its own. It is not widely cultivated for human use.

Reevesia pubescens
Reevesia pubescens is an evergreen tree known and loved for its unusually long yellow stamens. Interestingly, the size of this plant can vary significantly, from 6 ft to 60 ft high. It can live only in areas with mild climates. Due to its interesting flowers and vividly colored foliage, this plant can be used for ornamental purposes.
