Northern shorthusk
Northern shorthusk is a perennial grass with erect, silken-haired stems reaching 60-120 cm in height. Its broad, lance-shaped leaves are distinctively textured with fine hairs, creating a soft appearance. Preferring shady woodland habitats, northern shorthusk thrives under the canopy's dappled light, which plays a role in its leaf and stem structure development. The feathery, silvery inflorescences bloom in late summer, providing an elegant contrast to the green foliage.
